Second Member General Seat

Katherine OMalley was elected the Second Member General Seat, and she is currently a Principal Appraiser with the Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder & Elections Department.   

Safety Member Seats

Robert Raw, a Sergeant with the Sheriff’s Department, was elected to the Seventh Safety Member Seat. Susan Lee, a Deputy Probation Officer with the Probation Department, was reelected as the Alternate Safety Member and will be serving her second term on the Board of Retirement.  

Newly Elected Board Member Profiles

• Robert Raw has been with the Sheriff’s Department since 2012, and this is his first term on the Board of Retirement.
• Susan Lee is a Deputy Probation Officer, who has been with the Probation Department for sixteen years.  This will be Ms. Lee’s second term on the Board.
• Katherine OMalley was hired in 2012 by the Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder & Elections Department. She is currently a Principal Appraiser in the Assessor’s Division, and this will be her first time serving on the Board. 

Additional Information

The terms of office for the newly elected board members commence July 1, 2018 and will expire on June 30, 2021.  The next election will be held in June 2019 when the General Third Member Seat, Retired Eighth Member Seat and Retiree Alternate Seat will be up for election.  Board vacancies and election information will be posted at www.samcera.org, and general information about the Board of Retirement can be found at www.samcera.org/board-retirement.
